To encourage peer evaluation, and especially to support consistency across evaluations and across evaluators so as to strengthen the likelihood that department chairs would seek this documentation and use it in their evaluations of faculty, the co-chair of the SubCommittee on Teaching and Pedagogy and I developed a program to train peer evaluators from each department. We have sought funding for this program since we first developed it, but have not been successful. This is another program that will be included in the NIH application for the MA program at the University of Botswana. CT_P.laureate_pilot11aug09.doc
