An intramural CIRCLE grant was funded in July 2013 entitled, "Cognitive complexity training to support cross-discipline multiple choice exam item evaluation". This project will support the development and pilot testing of a series of six workshops to train content matter experts (course directors) to review multiple choice exam items for domains other than that in which they teach. The workshops will be designed based on the Cognitive Complexity Matrix published in the manuscript developed through the earlier CIRCLE grant (published in 2013). Results are expected in May 2014.
